The 9th annual production of “Voices from Eureka’s Silent City” living history tours opens on Thursday, October 19th, at the city cemetery on Hwy 62 East – followed by performances on Friday and Saturday, October 20th and 21st, and again on Friday and Saturday, October 27th and 28th.
You will be welcomed to the event by genial host, Robert Ripley, on board the tram taking you to the cemetery. There you will meet eight historic characters in period costumes who will regale you with their life stories as residents of Eureka Springs.
Equally entertaining guides will not only provide introductions to the residents of the evening’s tours, but other historical information about the cemetery and town.
Tours begin at 5:30 PM and every twenty minutes thereafter, with the last one at 8:30 PM. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Free parking and shuttle service at the former Victoria Inn, located at 4028 E. Van Buren, Eureka Springs. Look for signs. There is no parking at the cemetery.
This event is a major fundraiser for the Eureka Springs Historical Museum and tickets may be obtained in advance there.
